Dr. Romero is a bilingual school psychologist with a doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Missouri. She conducts comprehensive evaluations and reports for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for English Learners. She conducts classroom academic consultations that support experience with multitiered system of supports, small group academic interventions, and modified curricula for English Learners. She has provided counseling sessions to support English Learners’ social-emotional learning. Dr. Romero has provided clinical supervision for graduate students in school psychology. Her research focuses on culturally and linguistically responsive interventions, bilingual assessment, school mental health, and family engagement practices for English Learners and their families.
