Dr. Mendez Perez is a bilingual speech language pathologist with a doctorate in Multicultural Special Education from The University of Texas at Austin. Her areas of expertise are in early intervention, bilingualism, speech, and language development, and in working with culturally and linguistically diverse learners with a focus on English Learners. She has provided consultative services to school districts in bilingual speech language pathology. Dr. Mendez Perez has over 20 years of experience in supervising graduate student clinicians and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on communication disorders, and collaborative skills for speech language pathologists. She has served on department of education training grants at the masters and doctoral level that prepare students in speech language pathology programs.
